Add your first product video.
Start with Free and one product. You need a WordPress site with WooCommerce and a video you have permission to use.
- Download Free, upload the ZIP through Plugins → Add Plugin, then activate it with WooCommerce.
- Edit a product. In ProductVideo, choose an MP4 from your media library or paste an HTTPS YouTube or public Vimeo link.
- Choose a local cover image and enter a useful title. Pro lets you move videos up or down with the arrow buttons.
- Save. Check photos, video, mobile layout and product variation changes on the product page.
Block themes
In Appearance → Editor, open your single-product template. Replace its product image gallery with the ProductVideo gallery block. Preview the template before saving.
Viewing summaries and schema
Pro recording is off by default. Enable it per product only when appropriate for your store's privacy and consent setup. Reports show approximate plays and measurable seconds over 90 days, without visitor identity or sales attribution. For VideoObject markup, supply a local cover, description, actual upload date and ISO duration such as PT30S. Incomplete metadata is omitted.
External player consent
External players wait for an Allow button. A consent manager can cancel the bubbling productvideo:before-load event until the relevant provider is allowed. Revoke consent by reloading the page; ProductVideo does not persist a cross-visit consent choice.
Official updates
In your account, connect the production store and copy the service key into WooCommerce → ProductVideo updates. Keep a backup before an update. A missing connection or failed integrity check leaves installed features working.
